Different Cultures in France
France contains a lot of different international people from all around the world. Many people from other countries have come to France in hope of finding a higher-quality life. Many communities and neighborhoods formed for similarities in cultures to unite. These countries include Algeria, Cameroon, Senegal, Lebanon, Congo, Niger, and many others.
Cameroonian and French History
Cameroon was colonized by France from 1916, after World War I to 1960. The French shared the colony with the British after World War I when the Germans had their colonies taken away from them. French became the main spoken language in most parts of the country and English for other parts of the country. Quite a lot of cameroonians fought in World War II for France. They won their independence in 1960. France, today, is the most common country where Cameroonian people go to seek better opportunities and a better life.
From the Other Perspective
French people accept immigrants even though a certain racial difference is felt between the locals and africans or arabs. There are many gangs but this is due to lower amount of opportunities and poverty (not extreme poverty though). Immigrants just have more chances to fall in drugs and gangs than richer, local people, even though most of the teenagers and young adults all around france fall in drugs (wether its smoking or more intense ones). But this does not particularly come from the influence of the immigrants.
A Cameroonian in France
If a Cameroonian goes to France, he is expected by his family, his family's family, his friends, and his village chief to bring back wealth, and sometimes to take another person as well back to France with him to bring even more wealth. In truth, most immigrants do not live in wealth and high comfort. Some of them sell illegally little tourist souvenir gifts, such as miniature Eiffel Tower key holders. Some of them become involved in gangs and don't work. Others with the possibilities study in a fac (university). Many find an easy job and try to maintain a stable life. But in any case, their lives in France are of higher quality than back in their home country.
Cameroonians mostly live in Guy-Môquet, Metro Château d'Eau or Berbés, neighborhoods in Paris. They live not far from each other and open little businesses for african hair, Cameroonian restaurants and markets. The languages, food, traditions and culture are shared there again to remind themselves of their Cameroon. But Cameroonians in Paris develop a 3rd culture; the one of a cameroonian living in Paris.

A New Formed Culture
In Lille, Strasbourg, Nantes, Nice, and Paris, an organization was made by Cameroonians to unite their culture, food and traditions regularly. The Cameroonian community in France, mixed up with other french-speaking african countries, such as Guinea, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Gabon, and Congo, and other immigrants form this new culture of their own. Musicians have come up and created genres. They influenced french rap and introduced a new style as well. Two of them are Sexion d'Assaut and Magic System.
