Green Madägam
Madägam is powered only by hydro electricity and solar panels. The government pays for one solar panel for every single building in the city to help the people change their lifestyles into being more smart and green.
The economy of Madägam is completely green and environmentally focused. The government, and most importantly, the people, strongly believe that in this day, our only option is to support and learn to live in harmony with our environment. For this, the laws of Madägam may differ from the laws in other places.
For example:
-You receive a fine when you throw a gum or a piece of plastic on the floor, or anywhere else that is not in a bin.
-Cars are not allowed to have old-fashioned exhaust pipes, for they pollute more, but instead have to have a newer system of exhaust for the preserving of clean air.
-There are electric charges in every gas stations to recharge electric cars, bikes, or bicycles.
-Sailors and passengers on boats have no right to throw things in the Alígama River.
-Trails for hikes need to be respected and there are only two picnic areas open to tourists in the natural preserve of the tropical forest surrounding the Prâma Lake.
-The only activities in the lake are swimming, jumping, and kayaking. No waste disposing, animal grabbing, flower/plant destroying or car driving is allowed in natural preserves.
-Only organic products are allowed to be produced in the Madägam region and people are encouraged to only buy organic products.
These are some examples of laws that the government passed in order to maintain the clean air and natural phenomenons of the region of Madägam.
